Taylor Swift, who is commended for being a role model to young people, heads the list of the "Ten Best-Mannered People of 2009," by the National League of Junior Cotillions. The list, which is on its 18th year, is compiled by the NLJC, an etiquette and social training program involving thousands of young people in the United States.
"The annual selections are based on the demonstration of dignity, honor, and respect," says Elizabeth Anne Winters, NLJC National Director. "Taylor Swift was chosen because of her exemplary manner in which she conducts herself as one of today's most popular entertainers."
Tiger Woods received the dubious distinction of being
named The Most Ill-Mannered Person of 2009, "for lowering the standards of morality and his negative influence as a role model for young people."
