M Bistro has been open for just over 5 years and in that time has made quite a name for itself.

It is a combination of some very fine, classic American dishes (Steak, pork chops, burgers and pizza) and some very upscale offerings (Bouillabaisse, Osso Bucco, Duck a la Orange).

It is by no means a low budget restaurant - a 10 ounce strip steak with potatoes and asparagus will cost you $31.95 on the dinner menu. An item like the $6.95 entrée size Caesar salad stands out because of its low price.

The lunch menu offers selections in the $10 - $15.00 range. The selection is good, including such choices as pizza, chicken, steak, chops and fish.

The food is really quite good and the portions are a decent size. Their cole slaw is unique and tasty and fries come served in a metal cone. There are private dining areas and the ambience and atmosphere are warm and inviting. The wait staff is helpful, without being annoying.

Stairs and parking are not an issue and the restrooms were clean and well-tended.

The wine list is both extensive and expensive - but maybe a true wine expert would consider the prices reasonable. They have what they call "Serious Cocktails" like a Strawberry Kiss for $10.00 or Parma Lemonade for $8.50.

All in all it is a dining experience, rather than just a meal. Your decision will be whether or not you want to spend the money.

If paying extra for a meal is not an issue for you, M Bistro is a wonderful choice. Once you get past the price tag the whole experience is exceptional.
