Your Makeup Questions Answered
by Erin Parsons

Q. What do you think every woman should have in her make up bag?

A. Black mascara, transluscent pressed powder, and a sheer natural lipstick (which can double as cream blush).

Q. Do you think oil based products are better or worse for your skin? Why?

A. They are actually better for your skin! Cosmetic grade mineral oil is one of the main ingredients in the amazing Creme de la Mer.

I also love SK II's Oil Cleanser. It washes off all your makeup and doesn't leave any residue...Just soft, clean skin.

Any plant or seed oils are also beneficial.

Q. It seems pressed powders are coming back - do you recommend using powder?

A. Though the matte look is back it doesn't mean you should look powdery. Use blot papers or a transluscent sheer pressed powder for the overactive t - zone.

But try to leave a bit of natural glow even in the middle of the face.

Q. Do you have any tips on apply color to your cheeks?

A. Smile and locate the apples of the cheeks. Add color lightly, whether its cream, tint, or powder, and then bring downward towards the jaw.

This will recreate the look of a natural flush (as if you came in from a cold day or after a jog).
