I liked sending out the list of our favorite things for Christmas so much that I decided to make a list of my favorite cosmetic products and why I like them for my January article. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and all my best to you in the New Year.

1. Shiseido Benefiance Eyecream (Available at Macy's, Dillard's and Nordstrom)

This is a very lightly whipped eyecream that is great for dry and sensitive eyes. Dryness around the eyes can lead to lines around the eyes that can easily be prevented.

2. Clinique Lip Repair (Available at Macy's, Dillard's, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom)

Say goodbye to dry and chapped lips when using this product because it conditions the lips without feeling waxy or irritating sensitivities. It helps keep lipstick on longer because it won't get cakey on cracked lips.

3. Pharmagel Hydracleanse Facial Cleanser (Available at Spa Ostara 440-835-2922)

Hydracleanse keeps the face moist while cleaning dirt and oil on all skin types. It is soap free and forms a light foam.

4. Nivea Soft Cream (Available at Euro Food Mart or eurobeautymart.com)

You may be wondering what makes the Nivea better at Euro Food Mart in Parma better than the Nivea products found in drugstores. Euro carries the German formulations which are different than those manufactured in the United States. I bathe my face in this cream which keeps my skin soft and blemish free as there is no mineral oil in the German formulation. It is also great for the body.

5. Chanel Gentle Exfoliant (Available at Macy's, Dillard's, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom)

Exfoliating the face one or two times a week after cleansing will take off dull skin. The gentle beads in Chanel's exfoliant ensure that the pores will be clean but not torn.

All of these products care for the face without being too active for the skin. Living in Cleveland can cause the skin to become dehydrated from our continual weather changes.
