Future Leaders Class of 2008

The Brain Drain.

Schools in Crisis.

Lack of Leadership.

Unfulfilled Potential.

Girls pretending not to be smart.

Questionable Celebrity Role Models.

We've all heard the dismal predictions for our young people. And we are aware of the challenges that lie ahead.

But ClevelandWomen.Com believes in the abilities and resolve of the outstanding students in our area schools - urban and suburban, public and private.

The inaugural ClevelandWomen.Com Future Leaders Class of 2007 included over 100 girls from 11 local schools. They displayed the ability, energy and potential to overcome any difficulties they may face and thrive as successful leaders and role models for their peers and other girls.

The ClevelandWomen.Com Future Leaders Class of 2008 included about 150 girls from 13 local schools. They met at John Carroll University on Wednesday October 1st and heard from inspirational speakers and role models, met their peers and had a lot of fun.

ClevelandWomen.Com Future Leaders 2008 Class

The girls were selected by their school as showing great potential to be future leaders in school, in our community and beyond.

The girls will be presented with opportunities to continue their progress throughout the year and beyond. Depending on their interests, they may decide to write articles, take pictures, review events or speak to other groups.

ClevelandWomen.Com will track their progress as they complete their high school career and go on to college and the world (hopefully with home base still right here in Cleveland).

We congratulate the girls on their selection as a Future Leader and we also congratulate the schools and teachers who participated to make this opportunity available to them.

If your school or company would like to participate in the ClevelandWomen.Com Future Leaders program, please contact Debbie at deb@ClevelandWomen.com
