Moving and don't want to lose friends

My friends and I have been friends forever. Now we are moving and I will be going to a different school and I'm afraid we won't be friends anymore.

My parents say I will make new friends but I like my old friends!

Dear Afraid to Move,

There is nothing wrong with remaining close with your old friends. It is normal, what you are feeling; we have all felt that way when we have moved to a different place or situation.

Try to keep in contact with your old friends and see them whenever you have the time. But make sure that it does not prevent you from forming new friendships along the road.

I am sure you will have many more new friends in your lifetime to come. Remember that!

Good luck and keep me posted.

Rachael
