Madeline Manning MimsWhen Madeline was just a young girl she was diagnosed with spinal meningitis and was not expected to live. If she survived, doctors warned her mother that she would be "retarded." Madeline not only survived but has led an amazing life. Her talents became evident at Cleveland's John Hay High School and she went on to become an Olympic Champion and world record holder. Read her inspirational story and listen to Madeline's words.
